One of the most enjoyable tents I’ve camped in

I bought the Pomoly OpenVista 3 TPU because I wanted a hot tent that would stand up to strong winds and heavy rain and after using this so far it’s handled it perfectly.

The large TPU windows completely change the experience inside the tent. You get a huge amount of visibility and natural light while still being protected from the weather, and on a cold or wet camp it’s great being able to sit beside the stove with a coffee and still have a proper view outside.

I’ve now used the OpenVista on real camping trips, including in the rain and with my Pomoly wood stove, and it has become one of my favourite tents.

There is plenty of usable space inside for camping equipment and a stove, and the tunnel-style design gives you a good amount of headroom and living space. The stove jack also makes it a great option for colder-weather camping, plus using a ground chair you can sit inside comfortably.

The TPU version obviously comes with a little more weight and bulk than a much simpler backpacking tent, so it isn’t something I’d choose if my only priority was travelling as light as possible. But that isn’t really what the OpenVista is designed for.

The windows are ultimately what make the OpenVista special for me. Sitting inside with the stove going while watching the weather outside is a completely different experience from being closed away inside a traditional tent.

I’m very happy with mine and it will continue to be a regular part of my camping trips.

I like this tent but what I don’t like about it has no floor or snow skirt on it I live in Alabama and if the weather is not below 0 I don’t want a snake to crawl in the tent with me

Absolutely awesome tent very few complaints. It’s spacious and the layout lends itself nicely to working inside if needed. Very low which is a plus for the heat but could be not so great if you have a hard time crouching or kneeling. If there was just one thing I could change I’d love to see a Pomoly made full footprint for this tent. The tent is all season capable but having a full interior floor would take it to the next level. Please Pomoly, I’m begging you!

I used this tent for a week-long elk hunt in the Wyoming wilderness. It was fall like conditions when we entered the woods and the temps dropped to single digits and snow by the end of the week. The shelter worked well. I like the skylight so I could watch our chimney to see what type and how much smoke we had out of our fire. I would have like to have the flaps that extend down to the ground on the shell to block out wind and snow, We set up camp at 9500 feet on the side of a mountain, the wind would catch us at night. Once the snow fell it helped block it out though. I also like the space provided to work inside. It gave us plenty of space to set up our stove and plenty of wood. We ended up using the door as a type of ground cover while sitting inside so it was more of a mat than a door. I also would have liked a little more built in storage pockets or a loft or guy lines to add in my own. This tent is low as well, so there is no standing up inside to stretch, which is something that I didn't think about before selecting a tent, but was still able to lay down and get my stretching in. I enjoyed how easy this tent was to setup and take down and pack up. It's also light for the size. I would suggest this tent to anyone going backpacking and needing some extra storage space or a place to set up a stove. I look forward to using it again!

When is my tent shipping out?

Setting up this tent is a breeze, even for a solo camper like me. The tunnel design makes it so comfortable inside, and the skylight is a unique feature that sets it apart. Whether it's watching the stars at night or enjoying the morning sunlight, the view is just incredible. It truly adds a magical touch to every camping trip!
