1.Review from Customer "Jonghun K.":

"I purchased this product in Korea and am extremely satisfied with its performance. It's incredibly lightweight, durable, and boils water rapidly. During my hiking trips in Korea, all of my cousins were impressed by its capabilities. This product is like magic, enabling me to prepare kimchi stew or budae stew within 5 minutes, even in the cold mountains. Korean culture includes enjoying grilled bbq even in remote locations, so in my opinion having a lightweight and portable grill that complements the reactor would be fantastic. Thank you for consistently producing outstanding products."

2.Review from Customer "Weston B.":

"I'v had my 1L Reactor for 6+ years now. Never had an issue with it. It's extremely durable as I have used and abused it and it still acts like it will work for decades with no maintenance. It always lights very easy, and always boils water faster than every other stove, especially in the wind! The design is brilliant. Thank you MSR! Seriously I'm getting tired of people thinking their jetboil is something special when this stove beats it in every way. The MSR Reactor is a stove that will last a long long time. Get the MSR windburner if you climb bigwalls or do winter alpine ascents and want a stove you can hang inside a tent. Otherwise this is the best. The handle is plenty sturdy fyi. 6 out of 5 stars."

3.Review from Customer "Barry B":

"Only had a few chances to use this stove and not in as cold a weather as I would have liked but overall this does seem to be a good stove for fast water boiling in wind proof conditions. Tried it twice now - low 30's F and 8-12 mph direct winds with a very low 200g canister that I did not warm or tweak in any way and it boiled 1L of water as fast as advertised. Only 2 "concerns" I had were that it is hard to tell in bright sun if you actually lit it initially because it takes a moment for the burner to glow red. Would have loved a piezo mechanism to light as well. I also would have liked to see a lock mechanism of some sort for the pot to the burner like Jetboils have. The pot is large enough that on less than level ground it feels a bit unstable, especially with 1L+ of water. Overall though it seems like an excellent stove for cold and windy weather."

4.Review from Customer "Kevin B.":

"I love this cooking system. However, on a 10 day sea kayaking trip in SE Alaska my Reactor failed without explanation. It simply wouldn't pass fuel through. No field repair was possible. When I called MSR I was told "this happens sometimes" and was reminded that I could always soak my food and eat it cold. I had to purchase a new cooking unit. I continue to use the system because it works so well but will never again take it on an extended trip without a backup system."

5.Review from Customer "Trevor S.":

"This is the world's best stove but you need to know it does one thing: boils water as QUICKLY as possible--especially ice cold mountain water and snow! Great in all weather conditions with no extra windscreen required is a huge plus. Very easy to use and packs down nicely. Do not purchase for cooking food in the pot or slow simmering food; it won't work for that purpose. It just boils water. FAST. It can keep up with a group of several people looking for hot water for morning coffee, filling their dehydrated food baggies, or just for boiling a pot of water to impress your friends on how fast it is."

6.Review from Customer "Asha D.":

"This stove is pretty amazing. Very well thought out and incredibly efficient on fuel. It's also probably one of the quietest stoves you will buy. A couple of downsides for me; it doesn't really have a low temperature setting. It is adjustable of course, but it's keeps the heat in so efficiently that the low setting still cooks very hot. I also wish it had its own spark switch on it to light automatically. A long lighter is best for lighting it.
I haven't used this stove in winter yet, but because the flame is well protected from the wind I can't see it being an issue.
I like the strainer in the lid and the detachable lid. Also happy that the butane canister fits inside the 1.7L with the bottom piece of the stove.

All-in-all, a great stove that I would recommend for your backpacking trips, or even car camping if you're keeping it light."

7.Review from Customer "Casey K.":

"This stove is the epitome of current stove engineering. Hands down more fuel efficient and faster than any other system. I got this stove when it first came out in 2007, over the last 10+ years it has consistently sipped fuel and boiled water at unprecedented speeds. I use the 2.5 liter pot for trips with family and friends, usually 6-10 people, or just the 1.7L when its me and a friend. Either way it works like a champ! I just bring along a small flint striker for weatherproof ignition, and use a paper towel/bandana to prevent scratches from the fuel canister when packed up. Across the continental divide in Colorado, through the Sangre de Christo mountains in New Mexico, in the snow fields of Glacier National Park, trekking through the Grand Canyon, camping behind Half Dome in Yosemite, or just weekend excursions through Red River Gorge in Kentucky-this stove has performed excellently. Jetboil gets a lot of hype, but the real gem is the Reactor, just compare the specs. I have never regretted paying the extra buck for this fantastic stove. I almost want to buy a second just in case it does ever go bad."

8.Review from Customer "Viacheslav":

"I saw first this stove on my expedition on Elbrus from the west. In our camp on 4700 m altitude it boil ~ 2.5 L for 4 minutes. For compare our Firemaple stove system with 1L pot boil 1l of water for 4 minutes. I bought it and used for my own expedition on Kazbek and Elbrus. So my impression - its a magic! But the pot lead starting to be cracked after first usage and I have to use cianopan clue to assemble it back. I`d like to none this stove its a boiler. Its mostly impossible to cook something using it, because its boil too much on low. If you like to cook using it, I recomend you tio buy Kovea Supralight stove. Using it you can install you pot on Kovea stove and cook using it only for 60 gramms of weight. In additional you will got reserve stove if something going wrong with reactor. If you have a doubts what to buy for high altitude expedition Reactor or Widnboiler - buy reactor. Windboiler less efective and less wind-proff."

9.Review from Customer "Combat Bobbie":

"I backpack throughout the spring and summer and hunt and fish in the fall. I am not a minimalist so I bring coffee on all of my adventures and do a pour over every morning. Before this I had a minimalist stove from another company. That stove would burn through my fuel too fast and would take up to 10 minutes to boil water. I was most concerned with the fuel though. I had to bring a lot. So then I switched to a white fuel stove which was more fuel efficient, but took way too long to boil water. I went backpacking with a friend who had an MSR reactor and he went from nearly frozen water to boiling in less than three minutes. I was convinced. I spent 10 days on a trip with two guys sharing my stove. I had each of them bring a can of fuel to be safe. We boiled water for coffee every morning and water for our dinners every evening and did not finish off one can. That makes this stove so worth it."

10.Review from Customer "David W.":

"So I bought this as my other stoves were failing me in the colder weather in Idaho. I took this on a Yellowstone snowmobile trip 2 weekends ago. My buddy had a stove that started with a J and ends with Boil. We were heating up our lunches, he with his stove, and me with this. I boiled water twice before his even started boiling. I heated up 2 cans of spaghetti o's, water for soup, and water for his hot chocolate before his water for his soup was warm. If you're contemplating about buying it, or are hesitant on it performance in the cold, don't worry. The temp that day was 7 degrees F. It worked flawlessly. My friend is looking to buy one for himself."
