"Bought this tent 7 years ago. Have spent approximately 100 nights in. If you are an ultralighter or Camp in very warm weather, this tent might not be for you as it is bulkier and heavier than an ultra light setup, and there is a lack of ventilation in my opinion, though I have backpacked extensively with it. This tent is extremely durable and dependable. I can set it up blindfolded it’s so simple. Plenty of storage inside, including an attic. The vestibules are roomy and a great place to keep items out of the weather. The stakes leave a bit to be desired as I’ve broken several of them and have had them torn out of the ground in heavy winds. Recently slept in this tent, with my wife, through 40 mile an hour winds, which lasted several hours. Thought we’d be picked up and airmailed. Both vesitbule stakes pulled out of the ground, but the tent held. Woke up the next morning to find we were buried under 15 inches of new snow! Can’t recommend enough this tent enough."

"Very satisfied with my tent. I have used it on 4 Wildland Firefighting trips to California, Montana and Idaho, Easy setup with clips on the interior bug net attaching to 2 crossing top poles and a rainfly that clips to corners. No threading poles through the tent body. Good ventilation to keep condensation under rainfly and away from you, and has an interior bug net and floor tub. It has an overhead mesh net that serves as a catchall that I used to hold an overhead light inside .Two vestibules are nice to keep boots and packs covered without having to crawl over them. I used a homemade tyvek type footprint because it didn't come with one. Weight is around 5 lbs but the tradeoff is worth it for what you get. At times I only needed 2 pegs to hold the vestibules out because the crossed poles and corner clips held the rainfly in place. As a precaution I treated it with waterproofing even though I didn't have to. Very happy with the purchase."

"So far I’ve only used this for car camping with me, my girlfriend, and my dog (medium to large). For a 2 person tent, it’s pretty spacious as we all fit with 2 sleeping pads, a small dog bed and a small duffel. The tent is also extremely waterproof for the price — we weathered some pretty substantial thundering rain with fairly high winds, and the only moisture I ever felt was what I brought in the tent by accident and occasional sprinkles of mist from keeping the vents open. For this alone, the tent is worth the price.
The only issue I have is the stakes, which seem to be prone to warping fairly easily, don’t like to stay in the ground, and don’t fit the stake-out loops very well. During the aforementioned rain, I noticed that one of the loops came off of its stake and another had been torn from the ground, so I used additional backup steel stakes I had to help keep it in place. With a good set of stakes, this is a solid tent!"

"I've had this tent for about 4 years now (probably around 30 nights use) and it's performed exactly how I would want a tent to perform. No holes, tears, or fraying anywhere that I can see. My husband and I use it for backpacking and it's a little on the heavier side for backpacking tents. However, the material is thicker than say the MSR Hubba line and so there is less worry about tearing the material. It's fast to set up, in fact it took us half the time to set up compared to our friend that had the Hubba tent. And it's HUGE, close to having the same floor area as some 3 person tents. We can fit both our 60L backpacks in the tent with us if necessary, but there is plenty of room under the vestibules as well. We can both change at the same time in the tent and not feel like we're bumping into each other. It also has lots of pockets, which comes in handy. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because it's heavier....but that comes with better durability."

The storage pockets are nice, with the overhead cargo net being my favorite. Our tent has seen strong wind and rain, as well as sweltering heat, and has not had any structural or leak issues. Backpacking with the tent is easy, and the weight, while a bit more than other tents out there, is truly not a problem. My *only* issue would be with the rain-fly vents as they are so little and hardly provide enough air-flow to prevent condensation.. nothing a small camp fan can't assist with!"

"I bought one for my son when he started Boy Scouts in 2010. We've camped 136 nights in it. Simple design, EASY to set up, very roomy (floor area and volume are a bit bigger than many other 2 man tents)(I'm 6 ft 270 and my son is 5'10" 180 and we have no space issues), doors on both sides (will never get single door again), vestibules on both sides (very nice to store boots and camp shoes). Rain fly goes all the way to the ground so water doesn't drip on the tent side. It's not ultralight, nearly 6 pounds, but split it up and it's worth it for the dependability. One time we woke up to a rainstorm and we were in a low spot in 2 inches of water. The entire tub floor stayed watertight and we stayed dry. Could have been a disaster. Son took his to college with him so I bought one for myself (and daughter) who likes to backpack too."
