What Is a Tipi Tent?

A Tipi Tent is a pyramid-shaped shelter supported by a single center pole, inspired by traditional indigenous tipis and optimized for modern camping and hot tenting. Compared with a teepee tent, “tipi tent” is the more commonly used term in the outdoor camping industry today, while “teepee tent” is simply an alternative spelling of the same concept. Modern tipi tents are widely favored for their excellent wind resistance, efficient heat circulation, lightweight structure, and spacious interior for wood stove camping.

POMOLY’s Tipi Tent Designs

POMOLY’s brand identity began with pyramid-style hot tents. In fact, the name “POMOLY” was inspired by the pyramid-shaped shelters from the POMO region, which also influenced the design of our triangular logo. From the very beginning, Tipi Tents have been at the core of the POMOLY hot tent lineup.
